Multi-pitch climbing: Never drop your shoes again

Ever top out a climb, just to find that one of your walk-off shoes has tumbled down the wrong side of a ridge line? I've heard countless stories of approach shoes loops ripping, and climbers losing their gear.

This quick tip will help you back up those shoes, saving you some foot pain and precious climbing shoe rubber.

1. Tie a slip knot (or any bight) in each of your laces, getting them equalized with the heel loop.

2. Clip to your harness and rock on!
